Abstract
The invention relates to a locomotive comprising a chassis and at least one, preferably Diesel-electric, drive unit. Said chassis comprises at least two bearing sections in which the chassis is mounted on bogies, and at least one central section extending, preferably downwardly, between two bearing sections. Said central section (B) essentially consists of two interspaced lateral parts (4, 4'), each part having a bottom chord member (6, 6') and a top chord member (5, 5') extending in the longitudinal direction, and at least one section (7, 7~; 27, 27') connecting the bottom chord member to the top chord member. At least one drive unit (10, 10') is arranged in the central section (B) of the chassis (2).
Claims (29)
1. Locomotive with a frame and at least one preferably diesel-electric drive unit, the frame being supported on at least two bearing sections, in the area of which the frame rests on wheel frames, and having at least one preferably dropped middle section extending between two bearing sections, characterized in that the middle section (B) substantially comprises two side parts (4, 4') spaced apart from each other, each of which has a lower chord (6, 6') and upper chord (5, 5') running in longitudinal direction and at least one stay (7, 7'; 27, 27') connecting the lower chord to the upper chord, and in that at least one drive unit (10, 10') is arranged in the middle section (B) of the frame (2).
2. Locomotive according to claim 1, characterized in that the at least one drive unit (10, 10') is preferably secured exclusively to the stays (7, 7'; 27, 27') connecting the upper chords (5, 5') to the lower chords (6, 6').
3. Locomotive according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that securing brackets (26, 26') for the fitting of the drive unit(s) (10, 10') are attached or can be attached to at least two stays (7, 7'; 27, 27') lying opposite each other in relation to the longitudinal axis of the frame (2).
4. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that each middle section (3) of a side part (4, 4') has precisely two stays (7, 7') connecting the lower chord to the upper chord.
5. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that cross-members (8) are arranged between the upper chords (5, 5') and/or the lower chords (6, 6').
6. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the lower chords (6, 6') run below the bearing sections (A, A').
7. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the upper chords (5, 5') run above the bearing sections (A, A').
8. Locomotive according to claim 7, characterized in that the upper chords (5, 5') run in the upper half, preferably in the top third, of the locomotive (1).
9. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the middle section (B) is bounded by a wall (9) at least at one end.
10. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that at least the upper chord (5, 5') of a side part (4, 4') projects over the middle section (B) into a bearing section (A, A') of the frame (2).
11. Locomotive according to claim 10, characterized by a stay (18) connecting the bearing section (A, A') to the upper chord (5, 5').
12. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the middle section (B) is open at the bottom.
13. Locomotive according to claim 12, characterized in that the bottom surface formed between the lower chords (6, 6') of the side parts (4, 4') of the middle section (B) is more than 50%, preferably more than 80%, open.
14. Locomotive according to claim 13, characterized in that the bottom surface, except for any cross-members (8) present, is completely open.
15. Locomotive according to one of claims 12 to 14, characterized in that the distance between at least two cross-members is at least 3 m, preferably 5 m.
16. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 15, characterized in that the at least one drive unit (10) projects below the lower chords (6, 6').
17. Locomotive with a frame which is arranged on wheel frames and has an upper chord and a lower chord and at least two preferably diesel-electric drive units, in particular according to one of claims 1 to 16, characterized in that two of these drive units (10, 10') are arranged one above the other.
18. Locomotive according to claim 17, characterized in that the lower drive unit (10) projects below the lower chord (6, 6') and/or the upper drive unit (10') projects over the upper chord (5, 5').
19. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 18, characterized in that each drive unit (10, 10') comprises at least one combustion engine and one generator.
20. Locomotive according to one of claims 1 to 19, characterized in that each drive unit (10, 10') comprises precisely one combustion engine with generator.
21. Locomotive according to claim 19 or 20, characterized in that at least one drive unit (10, 10') additionally comprises one or more auxiliary sets.
22. Locomotive according to one of claims 19 to 21, characterized in that the combustion engine is a diesel engine.
23. Rail vehicle, in particular diesel-electric locomotive, with an machine room and a switch room, in which the control and power devices installed in switch boxes are arranged, in particular according to one of claims 1 to 22, characterized in that at least one switch box (13) is arranged movable along the longitudinal axis of the locomotive (1) in such a manner that the switch box (13) can be pushed or pulled out from a side wall (14) of the switch room (12).
24. Rail vehicle with a cooling installation which has at least two cooling units preferably arranged in the roof area, lying one behind the other in direction of travel and able to be acted upon by a coolant flow, in particular according to one of claims 1 to 23, characterized by a device (22) for controlling the distribution of the coolant flow to the cooling unit (15, 15') situated respectively at the front and back, in direction of travel (F).
25. Rail vehicle with a cooling installation which has at least two cooling units, preferably arranged in the roof area, which lie one behind the other in direction of travel and are acted upon by a coolant flow, and air guides which conduct the air stream to the cooling units, in particular according to one of claims 1 to 24, characterized in that the air guides (20) are developed adjustable via adjusting devices (25).
26. Method for operating a cooling installation of a rail vehicle according to claim 24 or 25, characterized in that the device for controlling the distribution of the coolant flow and/or the air guides and/or fans provided in the case of the cooling units, is or are adjusted differently depending on the state of movement, in particular the direction of travel, of the rail vehicle.
27. Method according to claim 26, characterized in that, when the rail vehicle is moving, the device for controlling the distribution of the coolant flow is set so that the coolant flow to the front cooling unit - seen in direction of travel -is greater than that to the rear cooling unit.
28. Method according to claim 26 or 27, characterized in that, when the rail vehicle is moving, the air guides and/or fans arranged in the cooling units are set so that the rear cooling unit - seen in direction of travel - is acted upon by an increased air flow.
29. Locomotive according to claim 9, characterized in that the wall (9) is bounded by the stays (7, 7'; 27, 27') connecting the upper chord (6, 6') to the lower chord (5, 5') and/or cross-members (8) arranged between the upper chords (6, 6') and/or by the lower chords (5, 5').
