Abstract
Un distributeur de mousse autonome (p. ex., mousse sous pression) est doté d'un mécanisme à rotor équipé de surfaces à inertie contre lesquelles la mousse entre en collision pour faire tourner le rotor. Le rotor est installé sur un arbre d'entrée équipé d'un arbre de sortie. Un orifice de sortie rotatif est installé sur la tige de sortie de sorte que la mousse entrant dans le distributeur fait tourner l'orifice de sortie, qui projettera la mousse dans un balayage circulaire. L'orifice de sortie rotatif peut tourner sur 360 degrés, offrant ainsi une couverture supérieure pour une grande surface de plancher, comme dans les hangars ou les entrepôts, en utilisant moins d'eau et de concentré que les systèmes conventionnels sans mousse. Le profil vertical compact permet l'installation de ce distributeur polyvalent dans une tranchée de plancher d'un hangar ou dans un mur ou un plafond. Puisque toute l'énergie de rotation provient de la pression de la mousse, aucune source externe d'énergie n'est nécessaire pour faire fonctionner le distributeur.
