Description
consiste dans un tube capillaire s'étendant globalement parallèlement au manche tubulaire 2 et débouchant dans la chambre d'aspiration 11 par un trou 12 pratiqué dans l'anneau 9 de la tête d'aspiration 5 en formant un angle a compris entre 5 et 50°, et de préfêrence aux environs de 45°, par rapport à l'axe A de la tête d'aspiration 5, ledit axe A s'étendant globalement verticalement lorsque la tête d'aspiration 5 est au contact d'un sol horizontal. On entend par tube capillaire 6 un tube présentant une section circulaire d'un diamètre compris entre 1 et 5 mm ;
SUCTION CLEANING DEVICE
The present invention relates to an improvement cleaning devices for carpets, rugs or suction analogs comprising a suction nozzle consisting of a tubular handle connected by a conduit flexible to a source of depression and a head of generally cylindrical suction defining a chamber into which an inlet tube opens fluid with adjustable compression.
In the field of cleaning devices by l0 aspiration, well known suction devices are dust and fine particles including a head a hose connecting the suction head and a suction unit for vacuuming dust and fines particles from the head to the suction unit, and a conduit for supplying gas from a gas source under pressure in the suction head; this is the case, by example, Belgian patent BE 1,011,863 describing a suction device and a suction method. The device includes a suction head, a connecting pipe the suction head to a suction unit and a duct to bring a pressurized gas into said head suction, said pressurized gas from a compressed gas cylinder, air compressor, apparatus for forming pressurized steam or similar. The conduit opens into a gas distributor under pressure comprising two parallel branches between they extending inside the suction head to near its edge and each presenting a series orifices. The branches are extended by legs lateral each having an orifice arranged for blow the dust raised towards the orifice suction pipe positioned in the center of said head suction.
As soon as the pressure of the compressed gas is greater than the vacuum created in the suction head, the gas leaving the orifices of the branches of the distributor of gas, although raising dust, insects, animals microscopic, etc. located between the hairs of a carpet for example, creates an air overpressure in the head suction near the surface to be treated, a carpet in this case, so that the suction head is behaves as if it were clogged, creating a suction phenomenon, i.e. a depression reigns in the suction chamber without any displacement of air, thus preventing the aspiration of said l0 dust raised by the gas leaving the orifices.
One of the aims of the invention is therefore to remedy these disadvantages by proposing a device for the cleaning of carpets, rugs or the like comprising means for projecting a jet of compressed fluid at inside the suction chamber of a nozzle simple design suction not disturbing the vortex of suction.
To this end and in accordance with the invention, it is proposed a device for cleaning carpets, rugs or the like by suction comprising a nozzle suction consisting of a tubular handle connected by a flexible conduit to a source of vacuum and a globally cylindrical suction head, whose axis is vertical when the suction head is in contact with a horizontal floor, delimiting a suction chamber in which opens a tube connected to a source of fluid compressed ; said device is remarkable in that the compressed fluid inlet tube consists of a tube capillary extending generally parallel to the handle tubular and opening into the suction chamber in forming an angle between 5 and 50 ~ relative to the axis from the suction head, said capillary tube extending from the top of the head wall suction to the middle part of said head so that the compressed fluid is projected in the center of the surface to be treated delimited by the suction head and in that said suction head comprises at least one air inlet hole so as not to disturb the vortex of suction when the compressed fluid is projected into the suction chamber through the capillary tube.
We understand that the air intake hole in the suction head maintains suction globally constant in the suction head of the device so that, initially, the dust is raised from the surface to be treated and, in a second time, the latter are aspirated.
According to a particularly characteristic advantageous device according to the invention, this the latter includes means for controlling the arrival of the compressed fluid in the capillary tube integral with the first tube of the handle, these control means being made of a trigger actuating a point which slides in a hollow body connected to the capillary tube and at the source of compressed fluid so that said point partially or fully obstructed or else still leaves free the arrival of the compressed fluid in the hollow body in order to regulate the flow of said fluid at the capillary tube outlet.
Other advantages and features will emerge better from the following description of several alternative embodiments of the cleaning device by aspiration, given by way of nonlimiting examples, to from the attached drawings on which.
- Figure 1 is a schematic representation in perspective of the device according to the invention connected to a source of suction and a source of compression of a fluid, - Figure 2 is a partial sectional view of a first variant of the suction head of the device according to the invention, - Figure 3 is a partial sectional view of a second variant of the suction head according to the invention, - Figure 4 is a longitudinal sectional view schematic of the device according to the invention.
Referring to the figures, the cleaning device by suction which will ~ be described by way of example not limiting is particularly intended for cleaning carpets, rugs, fabrics or "plastics"
interior equipment of a car in particular.
In this regard, there is shown in Figure 1 a view general of the device comprising a suction nozzle 1 consisting of a tubular handle 2 connected by a conduit flexible 3 to a vacuum source 4, such as a vacuum cleaner for example, and a suction head 5 generally cylindrical defining a suction chamber into which a fluid inlet tube opens compressed 6 connected to a source of compressed fluid 7 by a flexible pipe 8, as will be detailed later. The source of compressed fluid 7 advantageously consists in a compressed air compressor delivering compressed air to a pressure higher than 2 bars.
It goes without saying that, the fluid can consist in any type of fluid such as water, water soapy, or in a gas such as water vapor example, without departing from the scope of the invention.
According to a first variant of the device according to the invention, with reference to Figure 2, the head suction 5 of nozzle 1 consists of a ring 9 generally cylindrical provided on its lower edge with hair bundles 10 extending in the extension of the generator of ring 9 and delimiting a room suction 11 into which an inlet tube opens compressed fluid 6. The compressed fluid inlet tube consists of a capillary tube extending generally parallel to the tubular handle 2 and opening into the suction chamber 11 through a hole 12 made in the ring 9 of the suction head 5 at an angle a between 5 and 50 °, preferably around 45 °, relative to the axis A of the suction head 5, said axis A extending generally vertically when the suction head 5 is in contact with a horizontal floor. We by capillary tube 6 is meant a tube having a cross section circular with a diameter between 1 and 5 mm;
however, this capillary tube 6 may have a section oblong or rectangular without compromising its effectiveness. Through elsewhere, the capillary tube 6 extends from the part upper wall of the suction head 5, constituted by the ring 9 and the hair bundles 10, up to the middle part of said head 5 so that the compressed fluid is projected in the center of the surface to be treated delimited by the suction head 5 as indicated by the arrows a in Figure 2.
Furthermore, the hair bundles 10 are flared in their lower part and are spaced around the ring 9 to form near said ring 9 of the openings 13 called "air intake hole" allowing a air flow in the suction chamber 11. These holes air inlet 13 are advantageously located above the free end of the capillary tube 6 so as not to disrupt the suction vortex when the fluid tablet is sprayed into the suction chamber 11.
According to another variant of the device according to the invention, with reference to Figure 4, the head suction 5 consists of a tube 14 overall cylindrical obtained in a plastic material forming the suction chamber 11. The tube 14 has a hole air inlet 15 positioned above the end free from capillary tube 6, said capillary tube 6 opening into the suction chamber through a hole 12 formed in the wall of the suction head 5 by forming a angle a between 5 and 50 ~ with respect to the axis A of the suction head 5 and extending from the part 3o upper of the wall of the suction head 5 to the middle part of the latter so that the compressed fluid is projected in the center of the surface to treat delimited by the suction head 5 as indicates the arrows b. The air inlet hole 15 'from the suction head 5 is diametrically opposite the hole 12 made in the wall of the suction head 5 by which the capillary tube 6 opens into the chamber 11. The Applicant thus noticed that such a configuration of the suction head 5 provides better suction than the suction head 5 fitted with hair bundles 10 described above.
It is obvious that the suction head 5 can include multiple air inlet holes 15 and that the number and diameter of these air inlet holes 15 depend in particular on the pressure of the compressed gas and the suction force.
Referring to Figure 4, the handle 2 of the nozzle suction 1 consists of two cylindrical tubes, a first tube 2a connected by the flexible conduit 3 to the vacuum source 4 (fig. 1) and a second tube 2b of diameter greater than the first tube 2a connected to the head suction 5 so that the first tube 2a snaps into force in the second tube 2b. The part of capillary tube 6 extending along the handle 2 comprises, moreover, connection means 16 provided with a seal 17, such as for example a fitting union conventionally consisting of a male connector with nut clamp cooperating with a female connector and a fiber washer, in order to allow the change of the suction head 5 at the end of the handle 2 in operation the type of surface to be treated. Indeed, the head suction 5 provided with bristle bundles 10 forming a brush, shown in Figure 2, is preferably used for cleaning smooth surfaces such as "plastic" equipment of a vehicle or floors tiled for example, and the suction head 5 constituted a cylindrical tube 14 obtained in a plastic material, shown in Figure 3, is preferably used for rough surfaces such as carpets, carpet or fabrics; however, it is obvious that the suction heads 5 can be changed at the user convenience.
Furthermore, the first tube 2a of the handle 2 comprises advantageously on its outer wall near its free end a lug 18a extending radially and cooperating with a corresponding hollow 18b of the edge of the free end of the second tube 2b, that is to say at its edge opposite to the suction head 5, in order to prevent the rotation of said suction head 5 around the axis of the round 2.
In order to regulate the flow of fluid at the outlet of the tube capillary 6, the device advantageously comprises control means 19 for the arrival of the compressed fluid in the capillary tube 6, said control means 19 integral with the first tube 2a of the handle 2 which constitutes a preferred gripping area of the nozzle 1. The means of control 19 of the arrival of the compressed fluid are constituted a hollow body 20 secured to the first tube 2a of the sleeve 2 by a fixing collar 21, said body hollow 20 being connected to the capillary tube 6 and to the source of compressed fluid 7 by the flexible hose 8. Said control means 19 further comprise a trigger 22 actuating a tip 23 which slides in the hollow body 20 so that said tip 23 obstructs partially or fully or else leaves free the arrival of the compressed fluid in the hollow body 20 in order to regulate the flow of said fluid at the outlet of the tube capillary 6.
Finally, it goes without saying that the device according to the invention can be adapted to all types of head such as a rectangular suction head for example and that the examples we just gave don't are only particular illustrations in any case limiting as to the field of application of the invention.
