Abstract

La présente invention concerne des méthodes thérapeutiques faisant appel à un ou plusieurs type(s) identifiable(s) de cellules souches mammaliennes et/ou de cellules progénitrices qui en sont issues, et/ou de cellules issues de leurs lignées, et/ou de cellules partiellement différenciées issues desdites cellules souches avec ou sans cellules totalement différenciées dans le but de traiter des mammifères souffrant d'une forme de cardiopathie cliniquement identifiée. Les types de cellules identifiables comprennent des cellules souches embryonnaires et les cellules qui en sont issues, les types de cellules souches adultes actuellement identifiés et les différentes cellules qui en sont issues, ainsi que des types de cellules alternatives identifiés récemment et présentant des propriétés fonctionnelles de cellules souches. Parmi les formes cliniques de cardiopathies qui peuvent être traitées efficacement au moyen des méthodes thérapeutiques selon la présente invention figurent l'infarctus du myocarde, la myocardite, l'insuffisance cardiaque et la dysrythmie cardiaque.
