Abstract

L'exploitation d'un moteur diesel à faible taux d'émissions particulaires s'effectue au moyen d'un comburant particulaire catalysé (14) mis au point pour provoquer un grand nombre de chocs de particules avec des surfaces catalysées. Le comburant particulaire catalysé (14) peut être précatalysé ou non catalysé au départ, mais catalysé pendant l'utilisation par un catalyseur alimenté avant ou après combustion dans le moteur. De préférence, le carburant contient un additif catalytique (29), tel qu'un platine de diphényl-cyclooctadiène (II) ou un platine d'acétylacétonate et/ou un composé organo-métallique de cérium, de fer, de cuivre ou de manganèse soluble dans du carburant. Dans une forme de réalisation substitutive, le métal du groupe du platine ou un autre composé catalytique peut être ajouté à l'air extrait ou comburant.
