Abstract

Procédé et dispositif destinés à empêcher la décomposition et la détérioration d'objets en bois causées par des parasites, à l'aide d'un dispositif à libération régulée qui est constitué de polymères contenant des pesticides. Dans le procédé décrit, le dispositif à libération régulée est placé à proximité du bois. Le pesticide est progressivement libéré du dispositif et absorbé par la structure en bois. Le pesticide absorbé par le bois crée une barrière ou une zone d'exclusion empêchant la pénétration des insectes. Ledit dispositif maintient un taux minimal efficace de pesticides dans la barrière ou zone d'exclusion pendant une période prédéterminée.
