Abstract
In a tilting watering can used to water plants in height, the tank is provided with two supports with their T-shaped end fixed to the tank by pivots allowing to pivot the latter in the longitudinal plane to pour the contents. In the present invention, these supports are removable to allow the use of said tank at ground level without using the supports. These are extendable (telescopic rods) to increase their range or to reduce their size. The reservoir is provided with stops for restricting the angular movement of the supports with respect to the reservoir and thus preventing the latter from tilting backwards. The two supports with their curved end and a T-shaped termination are identical in all respects to simplify their manufacture. Finally, the tool being removable, this makes it possible to store the tank and the supports separately.
Description
DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY
The present invention relates to a manual use tool for water plants located in height.
The tilting watering can already known allows watering plants at height and at ground level.
However, in the latter case, the supports become bulky since they are then unnecessary to accomplish this task and that they increase the overall space occupied by the watering can. Of more, during normal use, the supports do not meet any stop designed for prevent the tank from tipping backwards and thus avoid splashes when it is manipulated at height. Finally, the supports allowing to induce movement tilting are not identical which makes the manufacture of the tool more complex.
By using and modifying a similar tool, it was realized that the supports and their supports could be changed to simplify the manufacture of the tool while improving its functionality.
First, the two supports could be identical without altering the performances of the tool. On the other hand, to simplify the assembly of the supports to tank, hinges to springs ("snap") could be used. While reducing time assembly, this makes them easily removable supports, thus increasing the functionality of the watering can without affect the strength of the pivots during normal use. Finally, to increase the stability of the watering can, the shape of the tank and the supports was changed by way to restrict their relative movement. Thus, curved supports and stops under the tank at the front and at the back of it (behind each pivot) prevents the tank from tilt backwards and thus avoid accidentally spilling its contents.
Relative to the drawings which illustrate the implementation of the invention, -Figure 1 shows two different views of the tool in projection and a view of the tank only in dimetric projection.
Figure 2 shows the side, elevation, top and bottom view of the tank.
Figure 3 shows a side view of a retracted support and the side view and elevation of a full length support.
Figure 4 shows the tool assembled in two distinct positions in view next to.
The tool shown in the drawings has a pouring spout 9 emerging from the tank 1 for direct the water jet. At the front (on the side of the spout 9) and under the tank 1 is the pivot front 4 into which the shaft 3 is inserted at the T-shaped end of the support 2.
Thanks to gravity, this support 2 is pressed against the stop 7 when the tank 1 is not in action. Towards bitter and under the tank 1, a second pivot 5 allows the insertion of the shaft 3 of a second support 2.
This second support 2 rests against the bitter stop 6 for better control from tank 1 in during use. The tank 1 also has a fixed handle 8 on the above as well as opening 10 for filling. To increase the range of the watering can or reduce the size, the supports 2 can be provided with an extendable handle 11 (or retractable).
The tank 1 and the supports 2 can be made of molded plastic.
