Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'oxydation d'un composé fluorène en un composé fluorénone correspondant, qui consiste à traiter le composé fluorène avec un gaz oxydant en présence d'un métal alcalin solide ou d'un oxyde ou hydroxide de métal alcalino-terreux, ou d'une solution aqueuse concentrée de ceux-ci, dans un mélange de réaction contenant un solvant azoté hétérocyclique non aqueux, ledit mélange de réaction étant exempt d'agent de transfert de phase, pendant un temps et à une température suffisants pour convertir le composé fluorène en composé fluorénone.
