Abstract
Générateur de chaleur biplaque (2) comportant deux plaques (ou deux treillis métalliques) chauffantes et autorégulatrices (6 et 8), disposées parallèlement et contenant un matériau ferromagnétique; un ou plusieurs enroulements (4) formés entre les plaques (6 et 8) et disposés le long de celles-ci produisent de la chaleur lorsque traversés par un courant continu (14) ou autre et chauffent les plaques à leur température(s) de Curie. Les enroulements peuvent être plats ou constitués de fil (4) de cuivre fin enveloppé dans une mince couche de matériau conducteur thermique et non conducteur d'électricité (14); l'énergie électrique circulant dans les enroulements entre les plaques génère la chaleur qui est transmise aux plaques chauffantes (6 et 8). Le générateur de chaleur biplaque (2) peut être utilisé pour chauffer les extrémités de tuyaux de plastique (fig. 14) destinés au soudage bout à bout; lorsque les extrémités des tuyaux atteignent leur température de fusion, le générateur de chaleur est enlevé et les extrémités des tuyaux sont fusionnées sous pression. Le générateur de chaleur biplaque peut aussi être utilisé comme étagère chauffante (fig. 15) dans une distributrice.
