Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour l'obtention continue de polyéthylène téréphtalate modifié par des groupes -SiO- à raison de 300-700 ppm de Si, lors de la réaction d'estérification directe entre l'acide téréphtalique et l'éthylène glycol puis polycondensation de manière connue par introduction de silicate de méthoxyéthyle ou de silicate de propyle à un moment où le prépolymère possède une masse moléculaire moyenne en poids comprise entre 9000 et 16000, un indice de polydispersité compris entre 1,5 et 2, et qu'il se trouve à une température comprise entre 260 et 290.degree.C et sous une pression comprise entre 1,5 et 2,5 bars, le temps de réaction silicate/prépolymère étant d'au moins 5 minutes. La présente invention concerne également du polyéthylène téréphtalate modifié, des fibres exemptes de boulochage issues du polyéthylène téréphtalate modifié ainsi que leur procédé d'obtention.
