CAPSULE FOR CLOSING BOTTLE AND CLOSING BOTTLE

Object of the Invention

The present invention relates to a capsule for a bottle cap that can be removed by rupture.

The configuration of the capsule, according to the invention allows to provide a large area to include advertising. The capsule is configured in two parts so that, once the upper part is removed by rupture, the lower part remains stable in its position »

This capsule is at the same time a seal guarantee that makes it evident if the bottle cap has been opened. Background of the Invention. Closures that include first sealing closure means often require second closures with a number of additional functions.

This is the case for some closures that use bottle caps with pouring elements that have valves to prevent fraudulent refilling *

In these cases, the incorporation of an external capsule reveals the first opening and in addition favors the inclusion of advertising on a surface free of serrations or mechanical means intended for closure.

A patent is known (international patent application published under No. * WO 00078 98) in which the capsule is added over a cap closure incorporated in the neck of the bottle with a pouring element prepared to prevent fraudulent refilling.

This capsule has a special configuration for its fixation and means of rupture for removal. The capsule has a weakened peripheral line 30 that gives rise to two portions: one portion

2/11 upper and a lower portion.

The upper portion has two weakened lines in the vertical position with the weakened part incorporated into the inner part of the capsule surface, at least one of which intersects the first peripheral line.

Before breaking the capsule, the weakened peripheral line establishes a division so that both above and below there are means to prevent the capsule from increasing along the axial direction.

The lowering of the capsule is prevented by the presence of the cap. However, once the upper part is removed, this retention is no longer present and the lowering is only prevented -. _ using_ the wedge of the lower rim on the conical surface of the neck of the bottle, resulting in the possibility of releases in the? 15 axial direction between them.

Similarly, the vertical break requires an upper loop from which the break begins, continuing along the side vertically to the weakened line that intersects the peripheral line. When the break has reached this point, continuing results in advancing the weakened lateral line until the total perimeter is covered.

The presence of the upper handle prevents the use of this surface to include advertising, making use of the total upper area of the capsule.

The rupture of this type of capsule also requires two changes in direction: from horizontal to vertical and from vertical to the final peripheral segment.

The present invention establishes a capsule configuration that provides a closure that overcomes these drawbacks.

Description of the Invention

The present invention consists of a capsule that can establish a closure in bottles that includes a pouring element. This pouring element may include, for example, means 5 to prevent fraudulent refilling of the contents of the bottle.

It is also possible that the pouring element is not an independent part, being integrated in its place in the configuration of the bottle mouth. In this case the capsule can be applied directly to the bottle »

The capsule is one in which at least one of the parts is detached by a rupture operation, leaving the bottle cap accessible. The configuration of the invention provides a rupture that occurs on the side of the capsule without interfering with the upper surface, allowing the use of the total area to include advertising.

After the rupture, the capsule is divided into two segments, a lower one that remains attached to the neck of the bottle and an upper one that is detached.

The object of the invention is the specific way in which these objectives are achieved by a configuration that allows the lower part to maintain axial retention with respect to the bottle and the upper segment not to be directly connected to the bottle at any time, only through the lower segment that it has a temporary joint until the break operation is performed.

With respect to the characteristics of the capsule for bottle closings, those considered essential are those related to its configuration, which must be such that the capsule is formed by two segments joined together and separable by means of a rupture operation the first time that the closure is open, and therefore must understand:

4/11 a first lower segment in the form of an external rim intended to remain attached to the bottle after rupture; and a second upper segment that can be removed by the rupture operation;

wherein the first lower segment of the capsule has fastening means intended to be joined either to a pouring element of the bottle or directly to the bottle, providing axial retention in both directions and with the possibility of remaining attached to the pouring element or to bottle after the rupture operation; and the second upper segment of the capsule is provided with a rupture band on its lateral face defined by two weakened lines, these weakened lines being arranged along the axial direction above the fastening means that join the lower segment of the capsule and the element to pour.

In the embodiment examples, the lower and upper segments of said capsule can be separated in the breaking operation using the lower weakened line that defines the band. Thus, the band is considered part of the upper segment.

The various embodiments of the invention according to dependent claims 2 to 10 are considered to be included in this description by reference.

The closure made with this capsule is also considered to be included in the invention. The closure comprises a capsule according to any of the capsule modalities, as well as:

a pouring element to be placed on the neck of the bottle (the pouring element can be integrated into the bottle);

a cap that can be attached to the pouring element to

5/11 provide a firm closure.

In this closure the capsule is placed covering the assembly formed by the pouring element and the cap with a configuration in such a way that:

the lower segment of the capsule establishes a permanent connection to the pouring element or bottle, that is, one that remains after the rupture operation; and the upper segment of the capsule is free from any attachment to the pouring element before and after the rupture operation ·

Similarly, closures derived from any combination of dependent claims 11 to 16 are considered included in the description.

This capsule is at the same time a seal guarantee that shows in a very obvious way whether the bottle cap was opened or not: if it was opened, the capsule's upper segment will be missing; on the contrary, the capsule will be complete.

For this reason, like a capsule, it is also considered a seal guarantee.

Brief Description of Drawings

The present specification is completed with a set of drawings that illustrate a preferred example of the invention in a non-limiting sense.

Figure 1 shows an elevation view of a first embodiment of the invention in a cross-sectional view representing the neck of the bottle with the closure that prevents fraudulent refilling and the capsule.

Figure 2 shows an elevation view of the same example of modality from the outside, showing the presence of the handle that favors the elimination of part of the capsule.

Figure 5 is an elevation representation showing a cross section of the capsule without the presence of the internal assembly, revealing the flap that constitutes the means of retaining the pouring element. This figure also includes an enlarged view of the flap in cross section.

Figure 6 is a cross-section elevation view of a second example of the embodiment of the invention in which the way in which the weakened lines that define the base of the removable capsule band starts differently.

Figure 7 is a plan view of the cross section and elevation of the cross section of a third example of the modality of the invention, in which the weakened lines comprise three consecutive sectors.

Figures 8a, 8b and 8c show a cross-section elevation view, plan view and 90 ° rotated profile view of a fourth example of a capsule embodiment. This example incorporates internal grooves that prevent the upper part from being separated and detached entirely after rupture.

Detailed Description of the Preferred Realization

A first example of an embodiment of the invention is shown in Figures 1 to 5. Specifically, the cross section of Figure 1 shows the neck of a bottle (1) in which an assembly is placed to prevent fraudulent refilling.

This assembly consists mainly of an element

7/11 to pour (3) which has a rim (3.1) with an internal face provided with means (3.1.1) to retain rotation with respect to the bottle (1).

Within this pouring element (3), in this example of modality, a chassis (2) that holds a valve (4) is incorporated to prevent fraudulent refill, as well as two balls (2.1) that increase security against the fraudulent refill provided through the valve (4).

This rim is provided on its internal face with a peripheral flap (6.1) intended to be inserted in an external peripheral groove (3.2) of the pouring element (3).

This peripheral tab (6..1) does not have to be continuous; instead, as shown in Figure 5, it can be discontinuous.

In this first example, as shown in the enlarged view of Figure 5, the cross section of the peripheral flap (6.1) has a small angle of inclination (a) on the underside that facilitates the insertion of the capsule (6) on the pouring element (3).

However, this peripheral flap (6.1), which works in conjunction with the peripheral groove (3.2) of the pouring element (3), is such that it provides retention in both axial directions (according to the position shown in the Figures ), both up and down.

8/11 or outer rim (6.5) of the capsule (6), after the upper segment of the capsule (6) the outer rim (6.5) is highlighted axially with respect to the bottle (1) by fixing it to the pouring element ( 3).

The upper part of the capsule (6) can be separated by two weakened lines (6.2) between which a band (6.3) is defined. The weakened lines (6.2) can, for example, consist of fragile bridges.

In this example of modality, the two weakened lines (6.2) are parallel, defining a band (6.3) with a constant extension that ends in a grip loop (6.3.1) that makes it easier to start breaking the band (6.3).

The elimination of this band (6.3) implies only advancing in the peripheral direction until an entire lap is completed.

After the rupture, the presence of a connecting segment between the band (6.3) and the final segment (6.6) of the upper segment allows that, after detaching the upper segment of the capsule (6), the band (6.3) remains connected to the portion end (6.6) of the upper segment, which in this case is essentially disk-shaped in view of the small length of the side segments that remain when a band is eliminated (6 * 3) *

In practice, this segment (6.4) is not essential to the previously mentioned rupture mode since, during this rupture, after something more than half of the points that join the band (6.3) to the final portion (6.6) of the upper segment are removed , the two elements (6.3, 6.6) are connected by the segment of points that have not yet been broken.

In turn, the upper upper segment, understood as including the band (6.3), is separated from the rim (6.5).

Of the two weakened lines (6.2), the bottom one is

9/11 always prior to the fixation tab (6.1) so that the fixation of the rim (6.5) is always guaranteed, even after removing the upper segment of the capsule (6).

The final portion (6.6) of the upper segment, preferably in the form of a disk, can be used for advertising purposes by printing or embossing, for example.

In a second example of modality, as shown in Figure 6, the band (6.3) is not necessarily defined between two weakened lines (6.2) arranged in parallel, but instead an inclination (6.2) is provided in its segment initial direction that directs the final rupture of the band _ (6.3) to the upper disc through an oblique segment (6.3.2), without the band (6.3) being detached from the upper portion of the capsule (6).

Although it is a cross-sectional view, the configuration of the web (6.3) can also be seen from the inside.

In this second example, the peripheral flap (6.1) inside the capsule (6) is continuous and remains according to the invention below the lower weakened line (6.2) that gives rise to the rupture band (6.3).

Figure 7 shows a third example of modality in which the weakened lines (6.2) are parallel to each other, but not continuous in the total perimeter of the capsule (6), which in turn comprise at least two consecutive sectors; in the example shown in the figure there are three sectors.

This division of the band (6.3) into sectors has the advantage that an adhesive tape is placed on the capsule (6), indicating, for example, the corresponding capsules, one of the

10/11 ends of the adhesive tape could fall on the grip handle (6.3.1), making it difficult to open the capsule (6). Including more than one grab handle (6.3.1) on the band (6.3) the user is allowed to access another (6.3.1) that is not covered by said adhesive tape. Another advantage resulting from this third example of modality is that as the band (6.3) comprises several sectors, it is more evident if the bottle was opened, since it is more difficult to try to put each sector back in its initial position to hide that the bottle was opened .

Thus, in the example of modality shown in

Figure 7 three sectors (6.3.3, 6.3.4, 6.3.5) are defined in the band (6.3) with a constant extension, ending each sector ___ (6.3.3, 6.3.4, 6.3.5) in a loop of grab (6.3.1) that makes

It may also be the case that there is no relationship between the two elements (6.3, 6.6), so that the final portion (6.6) of the upper segment is removed after the rupture of the band (6.3).

In the fourth example of modality shown in Figures

8a, 8b and 8c a specific form of fixation has been established between the band (6.3) and the final portion (6.6) of the upper segment.

This fixation is established by one or more grooves (6.7) (two in the example) with a very small thickness. The purpose of these grooves is to obtain a greater thickness than that of the wall on which they are placed. As the normal way to generate the weakened line 5 is through an external cut, if the blade penetrates only the thickness of the wall the striations (6.7) are not cut and maintain the relationship between the band (6.3) and the final portion (6.6) of the upper segment even after rupture.

In this other example of modality, although the bottle (1) is not shown, it is considered that it is a suitable design for application directly on the bottle (1). This bottle (1) incorporates a groove into which the internal fixation flap (6.1) enters with respect to the rim (6.5). The pouring element in this case is integrated into the shape of the pouring mouth of the bottle.

Claims (21)

Claims 1. Capsule for a bottle closure formed by two segments joined together that can be separated by a rupture operation the first time the closure is opened comprising: a first lower segment in the form of an external rim intended to remain attached to the bottle (1) after rupture; by means of a second segment, the rupture operation is characterized by the superior that the fact that the capsule (6) has fixing means can first be removed segment (6.1) intended to be joined or to a pouring element (3) directly to the bottle (1), giving way to one of the bottle (1) or axial retention in both directions in relation to the possibility of remaining attached to the pouring element (3) or to the bottle (1) after the rupture operation; and the second upper segment of the capsule (6) has a rupture band (6.3) on its side (6) defined by two weakened lines (6.2), these weakened lines (6.2) being located above, along the axial direction , of the fixing means (6.1) that join the lower segment of the capsule (6) and the pouring element (3). 2.
