Abstract
Método e dispositivo para alternar as locomotivas líder e remota em um trem ferroviário de tração distribuída. Um método e um dispositivo para alternar a funcionalidade de uma unidade líder e uma unidade remota de fim de trem, em um trem ferroviário de tração distribuída. Os sistemas de comunicação compreendem uma função de troca, a qual executa por meio de diversos passos de processos para a troca a funcionalidade da unidade líder e a unidade remota de fim de trem. Deve-se primeiro determinar as condições de operação do trem, para que se possa garantir que a função de troca possa ser executada. O sistema de comunicação é colocado em um modo ocioso e os freios e as travas de segurança são aplicadas, para que se garanta que o trem não vá se movimentar. Cada locomotiva remota no trem recebe o comando para o estado de transição, e são re-configuradas para que recebam comandos e mensagens da nova unidade líder. Uma vez que o operador do trem efetuou a re-alocação da unidade líder anterior, para a nova unidade líder, a antiga unidade líder faz a transição para o estado remoto, e a nova unidade líder efetua o comando para encerrar o período de transição.
