Abstract
DISPOSITIVO E MéTODO PARA CODIFICAR E DECODIFICAR DE FORMA REDIMENSIONáVEL, UM FLUXO DE DADOS DE IMAGEM, UM SINAL, PROGRAMA DE COMPUTADOR E UM MóDULO DE ADAPTAçãO PARA UMA QUALIDADE DE IMAGEM CORRESPONDENTE. A invenção refere-se a um método para codificar uma seqúência de imagens gerando um fluxo de dados na forma de uma estrutura de camadas de dados incorporadas de níveis sucessivos n cada um dos quais corresponde à resolução predeterminada das referidas imagens. O referido método compreende um estágio de codificação consistindo em codificar pelo menos uma das referidas camadas de um nível n+1 pela predição com base na referida camada de nível n e na codificação de cada camada de dados do nível n na forma de um sub-fluxo de base e opcionalmente na forma de pelo menos um sub-fluxo de intensificação permitindo a obtenção de pelo menos uma versão da qualidade intensificada das referidas imagens. O método inventivo também consiste em codificar, para pelo menos uma camada de dados do nível n, pelo menos um único sub-fluxo permitindo a reconstrução da versão das referidas imagens na referida resolução de nível n com uma qualidade mais elevada do que as referidas qualidades intensificadas, onde o referido sub-fluxo único da camada de nível n não é utilizado durante a codificação de predição das camadas de um nível diferente do nível n.
