Abstract
MÉTODO E APARELHO PARA CODIFICAÇÃO DE VÍDEO INTRAQUADRO ALTAMENTE ESCALONÁVEL É fornecido um aparelho e método para a codificação de vídeo intraquadro altamente escalonável. As ferramentas DCT macrobloco convencionais são integradas com os bancos de filtro de sub-banda para uma eficiência aprimorada da compressão escalonável. As camadas de aprimoramento são representadas em um domínio de sub-banda e codificadas por um codificador de textura de quadro intercamada que utiliza sinal de previsão intercamada formado pela camada anterior decodificada. Cada camada de aprimoramento da qualidade é adicionalmente escalonável na resolução.
