Abstract

MéTODO E APARELHO PARA A CRIPTOGRAFIA DE COMUNICAçãO PELO AR EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO. Um dispositivo de comunicação (202) criptograf a simbolos em uma camada física para melhorar a criptografia dos dados transmitidos por um enlace sem fio. Um mapeador de simbolos (208) do dispositivo de comunicação recebe um fluxo de bits que compreende múltiplos bits e mapeia os múltiplos bits para múltiplos simbolos. Um ajustador de amplitude e de fase (210) do dispositivo de comunicação recebe os múltiplos simbolos e criptograf a os simbolos ao aplicar pelo menos um de um deslocamento de fase e um ajuste da amplitude a cada símbolo para produzir múltiplos simbolos criptografados para transmissão por um enlace sem fio. Em outra versão da presente invenção, é fornecido um dispositivo de comunicação (250) que é capaz de descriptografar os simbolos criptografados ao aplicar pelo menos um de um deslocamento de fase e um ajuste da amplitude a cada símbolo criptografado que corresponde aodeslocamento de fase ou ao ajuste de amplitude aplicado ao símbolo por um dispositivo de comunicação de transmissão.
