Abstract

APARELHO E MéTODO PARA MONITORAR UMA CéLULA ELETROLìTICA. Para uma célula eletrolítica, um aparelho e método são descritos os quais usam um ou mais sensores para medir intensidade de campo magnético sobre um condutor carregando corrente elétrica. Um processador está em cominicação elétrica com os sensores e determina uma intensidade compensada de campo magnético baseado nos campos magnéticos de outros condutores que também carregam corrente elétrica para ou a partir da célula eletrolítica. O processador usa esta intensidade compensada de campo magnético para determinar a corrente elétrica de cátodo carregada pelo condutor e para identificar circuitos abertos e curtos-circuitos entre os ânodos e cátodos da célula. O aparelho e método descritos levam em conta interações entre os campos magnéticos dos cátodos vizinhos.
