Abstract

MéTODO PARA PROVER SERVIçOS DIFERENTES EM UM SISTEMA COMUNICAçãO APLICATIVO EM DE UM MULTIMìDIA, SISTEMA DE E, SERVIDOR COMUNICAçãO MULTIMìDIA Em sistemas de comunicação de multimídia atuais usando protocolos de iniciação de sessão tal como SIP, uma mudança de serviço por exemplo, adicionar um novo tipo de mídia a uma conversação de multimídia existente) impõe atrasos significantes e carga de processador em ambos clientes e servidor. A invenção atual resolve isto separando sinalização de sessão e sinalização de controle de mídia em canais de sinalização diferentes (141, 142) e eliminando a necessidade para restabelecer sessões de SIP para cada mudança de serviço. O servidor de aplicativo (120) mantém uma lista de todos os tipos de mídia suportados por cada cliente de multimídia (110) envolvido em uma conversação de multimídia. Cada cliente de multimídia (110) pedindo para enviar um ou vários fluxos de mídia com tipos de mídia diferentes para um ou vários outros clientes de multimídia, negocia com o servidor de aplicativo (120) somente. O conceito inventivo reduz significativamente atrasos de redes e acelera a mudança de serviço como percebida pelo usuário.
