Composição e processo para manutenção da atividade biocida de glóbulos de poliestireno hidantoína clorado. O processo compreende o suprimento de uma concentração de halogênio de baixo nível contínua dos glóbulos de poliestireno hidantoína clorado na água a ser tratada que flui em contato com os glóbulos de poliestireno hidantoína clorado, resultando em água tratada adequada para beber.
