Abstract

Una composicion y el método para sustentar la actividad biocida de globulos de hidantoína halogenada (por ejemplo clorinada) de poliestireno para ser utilizada en sistemas de purificacion de agua. El método comprende suministrar una concentracion continua de halogeno de bajo nivel a globulos de hidantoína clorinada de poliestireno en el agua a ser tratada que circula en contacto con globulos de hidantoína de poliestireno clorinada, resultando en agua tratada adecuada para ser bebida.
