Abstract

"DMBT1 COMO UM MARCADOR CLìNICO E SEU USO". A presente invenção fornece métodos para determinar a atividade estrogênica de um composto, enquanto inclui contatar um sistema responsivo ao estrogênio tendo um gene sob o controle de uma seqüência reguladora de DMBT1 com um composto de teste e determinar como o composto de teste afeta a expressão do gene. A invenção fornece ainda a determinação da atividade progestogênica de um composto, que inclui contatar um sistema responsivo ao estrogênio e progesterona tendo um gene sob o controle de uma seqüência reguladora de DMBT1 com uma atividade estrogênica e um composto de teste e determinar como o composto de teste efetua a expressão do gene. Os ácidos nucléicos e os sistemas com base em célula que incluem uma porção da seqüência reguladora de DMBT1 útil para estes métodos também são fornecidos.
