Abstract

"AMORTECIMENTO DEPENDENTE DE CURSO". Um absorvedor de choque de dois estágios (10) tem um tubo de pressão (14) no qual um conjunto de válvula (46) é disposto de forma deslizante. Uma haste de pistão (18) é afixada ao conjunto de válvula e se estende para fora do tubo de pressão. Uma luva (78) é disposta de forma deslizante no tubo de pressão e se encaixa no conjunto de válvula. Após uma quantidade especificada de movimento do conjunto de válvula com respeito ao tubo de pressão em um movimento de extensão do absorvedor de choque, a luva se encaixa em uma pluralidade de orifícios posicionados em espiral (86 ) e reduz o escoamento de fluido através do conjunto de válvula para progressivamente comutar o absorvedor de choque de um amortecimento suave para um amortecimento firme. Em uma outra modalidade, a luva se encaixa em uma ranhura em espiral de profundidade variável (188) para reduzir o escoamento de fluido através do conjunto de válvula para progressivamente comutar o absorvedor de choque de um amortecimento suave para um amortecimento firme.
