Abstract
"DISPOSITIVO E MéTODO PARA APLICAçãO PRECISA DE TEXTURAS DE VOLUMES TRIDIMENSIONAIS A SUPERFìCIES TRIANGULADAS ARBITRáRIAS". Dispositivos e métodos de exibição de dados de volume sobre uma superfície poligonal tridimensional arbitrária são apresentados. Para cada polígono na superfície poligonal, uma telha de textura bidimensional é criada e estas telhas de textura são combinadas para formar atlas de textura. Para cada atlas de textura é alocada uma quantidade específica de memória no cachê de textura. Cada polígono na superfície poligonal pode ser digitalizado e os texels resultantes podem ser colocados no cachê de textura. Voxels que não intersecionam nenhum polígono na superfície poligonal podem não ser digitalizados. Este método resulta no uso reduzido do cachê de textura.
