Abstract

"MAPEAMENTO FINO DOS LOCI DE CARACTERìSTICA QUANTITATIVA DO CROMOSSOMO 17 E SEU USO PARA UMA SELEçãO ASSISTIDA POR MARCADOR". Divulga-se o mapeamento fino de um lócus de característica quantitativa sobre o Cromossomo 17 que é associado com características de carne, crescimento e teor de gordura. O lócus de característica quantitativa corresponde a diversos genes de efeito principal que têm correspondências fenotípicas com o crescimento do animal e a qualidade da sua carne que podem ser usados para a criação assistida por marcador. Os alelos polimórficos específicos destes genes são divulgados para testes para se testar animais para se determinar quais os que têm uma maior probabilidade de produzir as características desejadas.
