Abstract

"APARELHO E MéTODO PARA TRATAR UM SUBSTRATO EM MOVIMENTO DE COMPRIMENTO INDEFINIDO". São descritos um aparelho (10a) e um método para tratar um substrato em movimento (12) de comprimento indefinido. O aparelho (10a) tem uma superfície de controle (15) posicionada em estreita proximidade com uma superfície (14) do substrato (12) para definir uma folga de controle (G) entre o substrato (12) e a superfície de controle (15). Uma primeira câmara (17) fica posicionada próxima à superfície de controle (15), com a primeira câmara (17) tendo um dispositivo de introdução de gás (21). Uma segunda camara (16a) fica posicionada próxima à superfície de controle (15), a segunda câmara (16a) tendo um dispositivo de extração de gás (18a). A superfície de controle (15) e as câmaras (17, 16a) juntas definem uma região na qual um fluxo de massa de gás é controlado para reduzir significativamente a diluição de um componente de fase gasosa. Isto é obtido por meio da introdução de uma corrente de gás controlada (M1<39>), reduzindo-se assim o fluxo de uma corrente de gás ambiente descontrolado por causa de gradientes de pressão no sistema.
