Abstract

"MéTODO DE APLICAR UM RóTULO TRANSPARENTE DE PELìCULA POLIMéRICA A UM ARTIGO, ARTIGO ROTULADO, USO DE UM RóTULO TRANSPARENTE DE PELìCULA POLIMéRICA, PELìCULA POLIMéRICA TRANSPARENTE". é descrito um método de aplicar um rótulo transparente de pelicula polimérica a um artigo para produzir um artigo rotulado tendo uma aparência de não rótulo substancial. Artigos rotulados e rótulos adequados para uso nesse método são também descritos. O método de rotulagem compreende as etapas de: (a) selecionar películas tendo as seguintes propriedades: (i) Valor de Cobb~ 5minutos~ (medido sobre 5 minutos) de cerca de 0,25 a cerca de 50 g¬ -2¬ (min)¬ -1¬; e (ii) taxa de transmissão de vapor de água sob condições tropicais de cerca de 5 a cerca de 2000 g¬ -2¬ (24 h)¬ -1¬, (b) selecionar um adesivo liquido (tal como cola a úmido) tendo uma viscosidade de cerca de 1 a cerca de 500 Pa.s; e (c) aplicar o adesivo selecionado para fixar a película de rótulo selecionada ao artigo onde a espessura da camada adesiva entre o artigo e rótulo em aplicação do mesmo é de cerca de 25 a cerca de 150 mícrons. Rótulos preferidos são películas de celulose laminados transparentes ou coloridas selecionadas para ter Cobb~ 5minutos~ de 1,25 a 15 g¬ -2¬ (min)¬ -1¬ e WVTR~ trop~ de 325 a 875 g¬ -2¬ (24 h)¬ -1¬. Tais películas podem ser aplicadas a uma garrafa de vidro usando uma cola a úmido transparente ou branca opcional de viscosidade de cerca de 40 a cerca de 150 Pa.s (tal como cola de amido, cola de caseína, EVA, PVA, e/ou cola polimérica baseada em não caseína) para dar a aparência de não rótulo na garrafa rotulada. O adesivo pode ser aplicado para dar um teor de sólido antes da secagem de 40% a 60% em peso e um peso de revestimento seco de 10 g¬ -2¬ a 125 g¬ -2¬. O tempo preferido para o rótulo ser fixado no lugar é de 1 a 20 minutos com o rótulo de preferência seco após 5 minutos a 24 horas. Esse método pode ser usado em uma linha de rotulagem de alta velocidade onde 300 a 1000 rótulos são aplicados por minuto.
