Abstract
"CONEXãO DE BARRA DE REFORçO E MéTODO". A invenção refere-se a uma junção de barra de reforço de alta resistência que utiliza um conjunto de mordentes contráteis que abrange as extremidades de barra a serem unidas. O conjunto de mordentes inclui dentes internos projetados para morder nas nervuras ou deformações projetantes sobre o lado externo das extremidades de barras as quais formam o diâmetro total da barra mas não o núcleo ou o diâmetro nominal da barra. O conjunto de mordentes é constrito de ambas as extremidades axiais pelo acionamento de colares de travamento cónicos sobre cada extremidade do conjunto de mordentes com uma ferramenta enquanto concorrentemente fazendo com que o conjunto de mordentes constrinja e morda nas extremidades de barra. Quando a ferramenta é removida, os colares permanecem no lugar travando o conjunto de mordentes fechado. A junção provê não somente altas resistências à tensão e à compressão mas também tem uma boa resistência à fadiga e dinâmica para qualificar como um acoplador do Tipo 2.
