Abstract

"PRENDEDOR CEGO, MéTODO PARA FORMAR UMA JUNTA REBITADA, E, JUNTA REBITADA" Um prendedor cego, que pode ser instalado através de acesso somente a um lado de uma peça de trabalho (42, 43), compreende um pino (11), uma luva(21), e um elemento de apoio (32). O pino se estende dentro da luva e encaixa a luva em uma extremidade (24). A outra extremidade da luva possui uma cabeça radialmente aumentada (25). A luva é de peça única e possui uma região radialmente expansível. O elemento de apoio fica adjacente à cabeça da luva e apoia o elemento frangível (28) da cabeça da luva. A luva é inserida na abertura de uma peça de trabalho com a região expansível se projetando além da face cega (46) da peça de trabalho e a cabeça se apoiando na face próxima (45) da peça de trabalho. Uma força de tração é aplicada à parte do pino que se estende além do elemento de apoio e a parte expansível da luva se expande radialmente para forma uma cabeça cega (49) contra a face cega da peça de trabalho. O elemento frangível então se quebra e o elemento de apoio se desloca ao longo do pino. O elemento de apoio fica então preso ao pino.
