Abstract
<B>CABO COM FIBRAS óPTICAS MANTIDAS EM UM ENVOLTóRIO<D>. Para impedir microcurvaturas nas fibras ópticas, quando o cabo é submetido a variações de temperatura de -40 °C a +85 °C aproximadamente, um cabo com N fibras ópticas (FO), tendo, cada uma, um núcleo (1) e um revestimento (2) de coeficientes de dilatação/compressão térmica <244>1 e <244>2, de módulos de Young em tração E1 e E2, e de seções S1 e S2 compreende um envoltório de manutenção (3) que envolve as fibras ópticas introduzidas em uma matéria de enchimento (4) de coeficienciente de dilatação/compressão térmica <244>4, de módulo e Young em tração E4 e de seção S4. O envoltório (3) satisfaz a equação: (<244>3.E3.S3) <243> [(<244>.E1.S1) + (<244>2.E2.S.)] (N/14) + (<244>4.E4.S4), na qual <244>3, E3 e S3 são o coeficiente de dilatação/compressão térmica, o módulo de Young em tração e a seção do envoltório.
