Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"ELETRODO BIPOLAR PARA REAçõES REDOX ELETROQUìMICAS"<D>. Eletrodo bipolar com base de carbono para reações redox eletroquímicas em um eletrólito ácido na forma de uma divisória impermeável a fluidos e eletricamente condutora, da qual pelo menos uma face consiste, pelo menos parcialmente, em um tecido de fibras de carbono ou de fios de fibras de carbono eletrodicamente ativo, permeável a fluidos, trançado ou não trançado, tem uma divisória impermeável a fluidos eletricamente condutora, consistindo em um composto de um tecido matriz na forma de um tecido apertadamente trançado ou entrelaçado de fibras de carbono ou de fios de fibras de carbono cujos poros são hidraulicamente selados por um material eletricamente condutor contendo carbono enchendo pelo menos parcialmente os poros do mencionado tecido matriz. O material eletricamente condutor contendo carbono pode ser um carbono opaco formado insitu pela conversão térmica de um material precursor com o qual o mencionado tecido matriz é pré-impregnado ou uma resina termofixa polimerizada carregada com partículas de carbono e/ou grafite e/ou fibras. O tecido permeável na face do eletrodo pode ser uma pilha elevada de fibras de carbono.
