Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "AUMENTO DE TEOR DE ESTEARATOEM óLEO DE SOJA POR EXPRESSãO DE ACIL-ACPTIOESTERASE". Esta invenção refere-se a um método paraaumentar o teor de estearato como um componente dostriglicerídeos totais encontrados na semente de soja. O métodogeralmente compreende cultivar uma planta de soja tendointegrada em seu genoma um construto de DNA compreendendo,na direção de transcrição de 5' para 3', um promotor funcional emuma célula de semente da planta de soja, uma seq³ência de DNAcodificando uma proteína acil-ACP tioesterase tendo atividadesubstancial em substratos de C18:0 acil-ACP, e uma região determinação de transcrição funcional em uma célula vegetal. Apresente invenção também fornece uma semente de soja comcerca de 33 por cento em peso ou mais de estearato como umcomponente dos ácidos graxos totais encontrados em triglicerídeosde sementes.
