Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"SISTEMA óTICO DE COMUNICAçãO QUE TRANSMITE E RECEBE DADOS ATRAVéS DE ESPAçO LIVRE"<D>. Um sistema e método para uma comunicação de dados em alta velocidade em rede através do espaço livre são descritos. O sistema inclui uma ou mais redes centrais, as quais contém um ou mais lasers modulados com dados de alta velocidade para iluminar com a luz de laser as áreas que circundam a rede central na qual estão localizadas uma ou mais redes do usuário. O laser da rede central gera um padrão de radiação que é setorizado em setores horizontais e verticais, e ainda dividido em canais para cada comprimento de onda. Os dados que vem das redes do usuário modulam um laser, o qual é transmitido como um feixe colimado através do espaço livre de volta para a rede central aonde ele é recebido. A comunicação pode ser de ponto a ponto, de ponto a multipontos, de multipontos a ponto, ou de multipontos a multipontos, e a comunicação de ponto a multiponto pode ser transmitida, transmitida simultaneamente, ou multitransmitida.
