Patente de Invenção: <B>"MéTODO E DISPOSITIVO PARA MONITORAR E/OU CORRIGIR O ALINHAMENTO DE UMA IMPRESSORA à JATO DE TINTA"<D>. Para monitorar o alinhamento de uma impressora a jato de tinta (1), um padrão de teste (4) pode ser impresso sobre um substrato (3). De acordo com a invenção, o substrato (3) compreende um substrato principal (31) e um substrato auxiliar (32), os padrões normais sendo impressos sobre o substrato principal (31) e os padrões de teste sendo impressos sobre o substrato auxiliar (32). Neste caso, o substrato principal (31) e o substrato auxiliar (32) poderm ser feitos de materiais diferentes. Um padrão de teste impresso (4) pode, em forma digital, ser comparado com um padrão de teste ideal (4') e com base nesta comparação, um sinal de correção é transmitido a fim de corrigir o alinhamento da impressora a jato de tinta (1). A correção de preferência é realizada em alguma extensão por variar a amplitude dois pulsos de carga (6) com os quais as gotículas (2) são carregadas.
