Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"RESISTêNCIA EM PLANTAS à INFECçãO POR VìRUS ssDNA EMPREGANDO-SE PROTEìNA DE LIGAçãO ssDNA DO VìRUS INOVIRIDAE, COMPOSIçõES E MéTODOS DE USO"<D>. A invenção descreve métodos para produzir resistência em planta a um vírus de ssDNA, particularmente um geminivírus, tal como mastrevírus, curtovírus ou begomovírus. O método compreende introduzir uma proteína de ligação de ssDNA do vírus Inoviridae na planta, e inclui uma proteína revestida por fago, particularmente, uma proteína de gene 5 de colifago. A invenção também descreve uma planta transgênica compreendendo um gene que expressa a proteína de ligação de ssDNA e vetores para expressar a proteína em plantas.
