Abstract

<B>SISTEMA DE TESTE DE FIBRA DE SUB-AMOSTRAGEM<D> Um sistema para controle de processo de descaroçador de algodão incluindo estações de detecção para detectar as propriedades físicas de algodão à medida que avança através de um descaroçador de algodão. Um sensor de umidade determina, em uma ampla faixa de valores, a quantidade de umidade no algodão. Um monitor de qualidade determina a cor do algodão, distribuição de cor e a quantidade e tipo de detritos ou outras impurezas que podem ser retidas no algodão. Uma unidade micronaire determina tanto o micronaire como a maturidade do algodão. Um dispositivo de teste de comprimento de fibra fornece informações sobre a distribuição de comprimento, resistência à ruptura e alongamento das fibras de algodão. Amostras de algodão são coletadas da corrente de fluxo de descaroçador de algodão e apresentadas às estações de detecção em vários modos manuais, semi-automatizados e automatizados. Em uma unidade totalmente automatizada, as estações de detecção são conectadas diretamente ao descaroçador de algodão. As estações de detecção também estão em comunicação com o sistema de controle de processo de descoroçador de algodão, que utiliza os dados das estações de detecção para controlar automaticamente a operação do descaroçador de algodão. Alternativamente, as estações de detecção são montadas em uma unidade independente. Em uma versão semi-automática da unidade independente, as amostras são coletadas manualmente e apresentadas à unidade em cassetes para sub-amostragem e teste automatizados pelas estações de detecção. Nesta versão semi-automática, as estações de detecção podem estar em uma configuração idêntica àquela da unidade em linha, totalmente automática. Em uma versão manual da unidade independente, as amostras são manualmente coletadas e manualmente colocadas em contato com as várias estações de detecção. As informações reportadas pelas unidades independentes podem ser utilizadas para controlar manualmente a operação do descaroçador de algodão.
