Abstract
"APARELHO PARA MEDIR COMPRIMENTO DE RESISTêNCIA DE FIBRAS". Um sistema de controle do processo do descaroçador de algodão incluindo estações de detecção para detectar as propriedades físicas da fibra de algodão à medida que a mesma prossegue através de um descaroçador de algodão. Um sensor de umidade determina, sobre uma ampla fixa de valores, a quantidade de umidade na fibra de algodão. Um monitor de qualidade determina a cor da fibra de algodão, a distribuição de cor, e a quantidade e tipo de resíduo ou outras impurezas que podem ser arrastadas na fibra de algodão. Uma unidade de micronaire determina tanto a maturidade de micronaire quanto da fibra de algodão. Um verificador de comprimento da fibra fornece informação sobre a distribuição do comprimento, resistência à ruptura e alongamento das fibras de algodão. As amostras de fibra de algodão são reunidas da corrente de fluxo do descaroçador de algodão e apresentadas às estações de detecção em uma variedade de formas manuais, semi-automáticas, e automáticas. Em uma unidade completamente automatizada, as estações de detecção são conectadas diretamente ao descaroçador de algodão. As estações sensíveis estão também em comunicação com sistema de controle do processo do descaroçador de algodão, que utiliza os dados das estações de detecção para automaticamente controlar a operação do descaroçador de algodão. De forma alternada, as estações de detecção são agrupadas em uma unidade de autogoverno. Em uma versão semi-automática da unidade de autogoverno, as amostras são reunidas manualmente e apresentadas à unidade em cassetes para uma subamostragem e teste automatizadas pelas estações de detecção. Nessa versão semi automática, as estações de detecção podem estar em uma configuração idêntica àquela unidade em linha completamente automática. Em uma versão manual da unidade de autogoverno, as amostras são colhidas manualmente e manualmente colocadas em contato com as várias estações de detecção. A informação relatada pelas unidades de autogoverno pode ser usada para controlar manualmente a operação do descaroçador de algodão.
