Abstract
Un dispositivo de control del proceso de desmotado que incluye estaciones sensoras para examinar datos de las propiedades físicas del algodon a medida queavanza por una desmotadora. Un sensor de humedad determina, dentro de un amplio rango devalores , la cantidad de humedad que contiene el algodon. Un monitor decalidad determina el color del algodon, la distribucion del color y la cantidad y tipo de suciedad u otras impurezas que puedan estar retenidas en el algodon.Una unidad demicronaire dete rmina tanto el micronaire como la madurez del algodon. Un analizador de longitud de fibra proporciona informacion sobre ladistribucion de la longitud, la resistencia a la rotura, y la elongacion de las fibras de algodon. Se recogenmuestras de algodo n de la corriente decirculacion de la desmotadora y se las presenta a estaciones sensoras, ya sea en forma manual, semiautomática o automática. En una unidad totalmente automáticalas unidades sensoras están conectadas directamentea la desmotadora. L as estaciones sensoras también están en comunicacion con el dispositivo de control delproceso de desmotado, que utiliza los datos provenientes de las estaciones sensoras para controlar automáticamente el funcionamiento de ladesmotadora.Alternativame nte, las estaciones sensoras se ensamblan en una unidad independiente. En una version semiautomática de la unidad independiente, las muestras serecogen a mano y se presentan a la unidad en cassettes para que las estacionessensoras hagan el submuestr eo y el análisis automático. En la versionsemiautomática, las estaciones sensoras pueden tener una configuracion idéntica a la de la unidad totalmente automática, en línea. En una version manual de launidad independiente,las muestras se recogen a ma no y se colocan manualmente en contacto con las diversas estaciones sensoras. La informacion comunicada porlas unidades independientes se puede utilizar para controlar manualmente la operacion de la desmotadora.
