Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"REVESTIMENTO DE POLìMERO RADIOPACO"<D>. Esta invenção refere-se a um aparelho e método para produzir implantes médicos radiopacos tais como cateteres, sondas ou outros implantes. Uma composição de um revestimento de poliuretano brominado radiopaco e um núcleo tubular de poliuretano é formada. Em uma modalidade, o revestimento de poliuretano inclui um diisocianato e um diol brominado que tem uma concentração de bromo de 30% ou mais. O revestimento é aplicado à superfície do núcleo tubular de poliuretano elastomérico. O implante médico leva vantagem ao empregar um poliuretano brominado radiopaco com as propriedades de tração, por exemplo, de flexibilidade e de resistência à distorção, do núcleo tubular de poliuretano termoplástico elastomérico sem degradação dessas características desejáveis.
