Abstract
GERAçãO DE SINAL DE MODULAçãO OPERADA POR TABELA. Pares de bits em uma seq³ência de dados de entrada são convertidos em um sinal de modulação (por exemplo, um sinal de modulação <SYM>/4-DQPSK) utilizando uma técnica que baseia-se nos valores de saída de filtro pré-computados para reduzir o processamento exigido para gerar cada amostra no sinal de modulação. Os valores pré-computados de saída de filtro são armazenados em uma ou mais tabelas de consulta, as quais são acessadas em tempo real durante conversão de sinal para recuperar valores quando necessário. Em uma implementação, os dibits, que são representados por valores complexos em um espaço de símbolo complexo, são convertidos em duas seq³ências de variáveis de estado: uma seq³ência para os símbolos pares e uma seq³ência para os símbolos ímpares. As duas seq³ências de variáveis de estado são utilizadas para gerar indicadores de endereço que são usados para acessar valores pré-computados de saída de filtro a partir das tabelas de consulta. Operações de adição/subtração são então aplicadas aos valores recuperados para gerar as partes real e imaginária das amostras complexas no sinal de modulação. Reduzindo-se grandemente as computações envolvidas nas geração de cada amostra complexa no sinal de modulação, a presente invenção pode ser usada para reduzir os custos de implementar o processo de modulação e/ou aumentar a taxa na qual a seq³ência de dados de entrada é superamostrada, dessa forma reduzindo a distorção no sinal de modulação.
