Abstract

"EMBALAGEM ESTRUTURADA E ELEMENTO PARA TAL" Trata-se de uma embalagem estruturada (2) altamente eficiente, com baixa queda de pressão que compreende material em lâmina (4) formado, de preferência, em canais verticais quadrados (54, 56, 58) contendo geradores de redemoinho (24) formados a partir do material em lâmina (4). Os canais (54, 56, 58), embora verticalmente lineares, são interrompidos periodicamente pelos geradores de redemoinho (24) que proporcionam, trajetórias de fluido tortuosas ao longo dos canais (54, 56, 58). Os geradores de redemoinho assim formados (54, 56, 58) proporcionam comunicação fluida entre e fluxo uniforme dentro de diferentes canais (54, 56, 58). A embalagem (2) pode ser utilizada em operações de mistura de fluido ou naquelas operações que requeiram transferência de massa com múltiplas fases, tal como absorção ou destilação. A adição de um catalisador torna a estrutura adequada para destilação catalítica. A turbulência é proporcionada aos fluidos pela trajetória vertical tortuosa com baixa queda de pressão transversal e verticamente, com ótima sustentação de líquido.
