Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR FERRO GUSA FUNDIDO"<D>. A invenção refere-se a um processo para produzir ferro gusa fundido, matérias-primas formadas por minério de ferro, preferivelmente na forma de peças e/ou péletes, e, se apropriado, aditivos, preferivelmente calcário e/ou dolomita, sendo reduzidos a ferro esponja em uma zona de redução, e o ferro esponja sendo fundido em uma zona de fusão-gaseificação com adição de veículos de carbono sólido e gases contendo oxigênio para dar o ferro gusa fundido, e um gás de redução, que é pelo menos parcialmente introduzido na zona de redução, sendo ali convertido e retirado como gás de topo, e sendo formada escória. A invenção também refere-se a uma usina para execução do processo.
