Abstract

Patente de Invenção: CODEC DE áUDIO COM AGC CONTROLADO POR UM VOCODER. Um processador para banda de áudio e um método e circuito para controlar seu ganho. O processador para banda de áudio compreende um primeiro amplificador de ganho variável (202) para receber um sinal de áudio analógico; um conversor analógico para digital (204) para converter o sinal de áudio analógico para um sinal de áudio digital; e um circuito de interface (206) para codificar o sinal de áudio digital. O circuito de interface (206) também dispõe o sinal de áudio digital em uma seq³ência de quadros de transmissão codificados e recebe uma seq³ência de quadros de recepção codificados, cada quadro de recepção compreendendo um número predeterminado de bits de dados de sinal de áudio digital e um número predeterminado de bits de controle de ganho digital. O circuito de interface (206) também ajusta um nível de ganho do primeiro amplificador de ganho variável em resposta aos bits de controle de ganho digital. Em outra modalidade, o processador para banda de áudio compreende também um segundo amplificador de ganho variável (202) e o circuito de interface ajusta um nível de ganho do segundo amplificador de ganho variável em resposta aos bits de controle de ganho digital.
