Abstract

"SISTEMA DE PERFURAçãO DE ALCANCE ESTENDIDO (ERD) PARA PERFURAR UM FURO EM UMA FORMAçãO SUBTERRâNEA, E, PROCESSOS PARA INICIAR UM CURSO DE PERFURAçãO, E PARA TERMINAR UM CURSO DE PERFURAçãO USANDO O SISTEMA ERD". Um sistema de perfuração de alcance estendido (ERD) para perfurar um furo em uma formação subterrânea é provido. O sistema ERD compreende: a) uma coroa de perfuração, b) um motor para acionar a coroa de perfuração, c) uma tubulação de perfuração até a superfície, d) um arranjo hidráulico de cilindro/pistão para prover o peso necessário sobre a coroa (WOB), a tubulação de perfuração sendo acoplada a um selecionado entre cilindro e pistão do mencionado arranjo de cilindro/pistão por meio de tornel que permite a rotação da tubulação de perfuração em relação a um dos mencionados cilindro e pistão, a coroa de perfuração sendo acoplada ao outro cilindro ou pistão, e e) meio de travamento para travar um selecionado entre os mencionados cilindro e pistão contra a parede do furo, o meio de travamento sendo operável entre uma posição encaixada e uma posição desencaixada.
