Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"MARCAçãO A LASER DE ARTIGOS''<D>. é proporcionado um método para marcar ou formar uma janela transparente em um artigo (6), tal como um documento de segurança, no qual as áreas de camadas opacificadoras de tinta impressa (8, 10) em superfícies opostas de uma película polimérica ou substrato (12) são irradiados com radiação de laser (4) de um comprimento de onda selecionado. As camadas opacificadoras (8, 10) possuem características de absorção maiores para a radiação de laser do que a película ou substrato (12) que é substancialmente transparente para o comprimento de onda selecionado da radiação de laser, de modo que após a ablação da área do material impresso (8) em uma superfície, a radiação passa através do substrato (12) substancialmente não-afetada para remover por ablação a área de material impresso (10) na superfície oposta.
