Abstract

<B>MéTODO E APARELHO PARA SINTERIZAçãO DE MATERIAL FINAMENTE DIVIDIDO<D>. A presente invenção se refere a um método e aparelho para sinterização de material finamente dividido contendo compostos de manganês com um tamanho de partícula menor do que 6 mm e um alto grau de oxidação, através de material a base de carbono em um aparelho de sinterização 9 do tipo transportador em uma operação essencialmente contínua. De acordo com a invenção, através do material 8 a ser sinterizado no aparelho de sinterização 9, é conduzido gás quente (15, 18), o qual origina reações de combustão entre os compostos de manganês contidos no material e possuindo um alto grau de oxidação e o carbono contido no material de queima. Assim, a sinterização 18 é essencialmente realizada por meio do calor de combustão liberado do material 8. Além disso, o material sinterizado 8 é submetido ao resfriamento 17 antes da remoção do material do aparelho de sinterização 9.
