Abstract
<B>PROCESSO DE SEPARAçãO/RECUPERAçãO DE GASES<D>. é descrito um processo de separação/recuperação de gases em que o componente que se deseja da mistura de gases se encontra em teores molares baixos/muito baixos e pressões baixas/moderadas, em que a corrente de gases e contatada com um sistema de separação com membranas de permeabilidade elevada que separam uma corrente de permeado rica em componente desejado e a pressão mais baixa e uma corrente de retentado pobre em componente desejado onde a pressão é mais elevada, a corrente de retentado cedendo pressão para a corrente de permeado, e a corrente de permeado com a pressão elevada sendo contatada com um sistema de PSA para purificação ulterior do permeado até níveis de 99,99%. O processo descrito é especialmente útil para separação de hidrogênio de gases de refinaria como por exemplo gases efluentes de uma unidade de Craqueamento Catalítico Fluido (FCC). O processo é igualmente útil para recuperar hélio de qualquer corrente contendo hélio ou outros gases industrialmente úteis presente em correntes gasosas a teores molares baixo a muito baixos e a pressões baixas/moderadas.
