Abstract

"APARELHO DE DIREçãO". Um aparelho compreende um reservatório (14) contendo fluido hidráulico (68), uma bomba de engrenagens (16) com um orifício de sucção (74), e um silencioso hidráulico (18). A bomba de engrenagens (18) tem engrenagens com dentes engranzáveis (80) que conduzem um fluxo de fluido hidráulico (68) do reservatório (14) para o interior da bomba (16) através do orifício de sucção (74). O silencioso (18) atenua o ruído amortecendo as flutuações da taxa de fluxo que são causadas pelos dentes de engrenagem engranzáveis (80). O silencioso (18) inclui um elemento complacente (92) e uma estrutura de inércia de fluido (90) interposta entre o orifício de sucção (74) e o fluido (68) no reservatório (14).
