Abstract

"PROCESSO DE TRATAMENTO DE COURO, COPOLìMERO ANFIFìLICIO, USO E PROCESSO DE OBTENçãO DO MESMO, COURO, E, COMPOSIçãO AQUOSA". AND PROCESS OF OBTAINING THE SAME, LEATHER, AND, WATER COMPOSITION". The present invention provides an amphiphilic copolymer comprising repeating units (I) and (II) wherein: R ~ f ~ represents a fluorinated alkyl group having at least 3 carbonol atoms Q and Q 'each independently represents a group organic bonding or other chemical bonding; R ^ 1 ^ and R ^ 2 ^ each independently represents hydrogen or a C ~ 1 ~ to C ~ 4 ~ alkyl group; and R ~ h ~ represents a hydrocarbon group having at least 8 carbon atoms and optionally containing 1 to 3 substituents; and a repeating unit comprising at least one carboxylic acid group or salt thereof. The present invention also provides a process for obtaining the above amphiphilic copolymer. The amphiphilic copolymer can be used in a leather treatment to confer impermeability to the leather.
