"PROCESSO E SISTEMA DE DECODIFICAçãO, E, PROCESSO PARA MELHORAR A DECODIFICAçãO DE UM VETOR RECEBIDO E PARA DETECTAR CLUSTERS DE BAIXA CONFIABILIDADE DE SìMBOLOS DE CóDIGOS ESTIMADOS". Um sistema de decodificação processa um vetor recebido <B>r<D> para produzir uma saída de vetor de informação de símbolo brando <B>s<D> incluindo um valor de confiabilidade para cada símbolo de código recebido. Pelos valores de confiabilidade, clusters de símbolos dentro do vetor recebido <B>r<D> possuindo baixa confiabilidade são identificados e detectados. Responsivo a isto, o vetor recebido <B>r<D> é permutado para dispersar os símbolos de baixa confiabilidade dentro de cada cluster de baixa confiabilidade detectado através de uma dada palavra-código. Uma matriz geradora decodificadora <B>G<D> também é correspondentemente permutada em respota à detecção dos clusters de baixa confiabilidade de símbolos. Utilizando um trellis obtido da matriz geradora decodificadora permutada <B>G'<D>, o vetor recebido permutado <B>r<D> é, então seq³encialmente, ou, de outro modo, subotimamente decodificado.
