Abstract
"APARELHOS E PROCESSOS PARA CARACTERIZAR A POSIçãO E A ORIENTAçãO DE UMA PESSOA EM UM ESPAçO DEFINIDO E O MOVIMENTO DE UMA MASSA DENTRO DE UM ESPAçO DEFINIDO". Aparelhos e processos para apreciar a presença, orientação e atividade de uma pessoa dentro de um espaço definido utiliza pelo menos um eletrodo próximo ao espaço a ser observado. Um sinal de corrente alternada é aplicado ao eletrodo, e a corrente é medida a partir desse eletrodo e também de qualquer outro eletrodo incluído no sistema, e que são efetivamente conectados ao retorno de solo do eletrodo acoplado na corrente alternada. Uma pessoa (ou objeto) a ser sentido intercepta uma parte do campo elétrico que se estende entre o eletrodo "de envio" acoplado à corrente alternada e os outros eletrodos "de recepção", a quantidade do campo interceptado dependendo do tamanho e orientação da pessoa sentida, se a pessoa fornece ou não um caminho de aterramento, e da geometria dos eletrodos distribuídos. Devido à dependência espacial não linear do campo, os múltiplos eletrodos podem distinguir de forma confiável entre um conjunto de casos esperados. A invenção pode ser configurada para detectar não apenas as posições e orientações estáticas, mas também o movimento através de um espaço definido. Isso é atingido pela realização de medições seq³enciais em momentos diferentes e da utilização das variações do tempo em magnitudes de sinal além das magnitudes absolutas propriamente ditas.
