Uma junções universais de proporção de velocidade constante possui os eixos (32; 59 - 61) dos braços (26-28; 53-55) do membro de junção interna (20; 51) inclinado ao plano (34; 63) perpendicular ao eixo de rotação (35; 62) do membro de junção e/ou deslocado pelo tal eixo (35; 62), e a superfície externa (41) de cada roto (29- 31; 56- 58) é uma superfície de revolução ao redor do eixo do rolo (35; 59 - 61) de uma linha convexa em geral arqueada cujo raio de curvatura é maior que o raio equatorial do rolo (29 - 31; 56 - 58).
